Abstract

Evan is also developing a workflow to integrate T3 with other assays. Clinical biopsies and surgical specimens are valuable pieces of tissue that clinicians need for the diagnosis and staging of cancer. With the T3 workflow, it has already been shown how a comprehensive assessment of the 3D tumor immune microenvironment is possible using core needle biopsies (Lee et al., Laboratory Investigation, 2018, doi.org/10.1038/s41374-018-0156-y). However, additional single cell and bulk data about gene expression, for example, would provide enhanced functional information of the same tissue. Such a workflow is therefore potentially a powerful analysis tool to integrate spatial information on select protein and gene markers with molecular readouts from sequencing and flow cytometry.
